About This Event

“Can you and I as human beings living in this world, surrounded by all the complexities of modern existence, discover for ourselves something which is really original?  Otherwise life becomes terribly monotonous, a boring routine that has very little significance.”
-      J. Krishnamurti, Talk 6, Saanen, 22 July 1965

Intention of the Retreat
In this retreat we are going to explore these and other existential questions that we are confronted with in our daily life:
·      Do we feel a lack of creativity, authenticity and joy in our mechanical and stressful way of thinking and living? What is blocking us from living fully?
·      How can we meet our inward insecurities, fears and sufferings?
·      Is there a different way of living? Can living be an art?
·      Can a sense of order, intelligence, freedom and compassion be integrated in our everyday life?
We are going to inquire as friends the deeper questions of our day to day life in a relaxed, meditative and affectionate atmosphere. The daily schedule will include short introductory talks, meditative dialogues, silent observation and listening, walks in nature. The primary intention is that our entire day becomes a meditative process by taking a complete break and allowing our minds and hearts to deeply rest, breathe and rejuvenate...

Krishnamurti for more than two and a half decades. He is a traveler at heart and regularly facilitates self-inquiry based retreats, workshops and dialogues world-wide. He has studied Indian and Western Philosophies. He sees that a deep non-authoritarian meditative process of self-inquiry, based on love, listening and looking from a silent state of mind and heart, is essential to establish peace, harmony and compassion in one’s daily existence and society. www.schoolforselfinquiry.orgAnn Engels is a musician, impresario and an international Transformational Coach who is deeply inspired by J.
