About This Event

What takes place when the brain, the mind and the body are really quiet and harmonious - when the mind, the body and the heart are completely one? Then one lives a totally different kind of life.
- J. Krishnamurti, The Awakening of Intelligence

Living is an art which means giving right place to everything and not letting one thing dominate the other. The way we are living now, our past baggage, conditioning and fears are dominating our whole inner and outer world and relationships which is the cause of suffering, stress and recurrent burn outs. Living with fullness, peace and joy requires a harmony between body, mind and heart. This retreat offers a reflective journey and insights into such fundamental questions of our life:
How can we find inner clarity and freedom and let go of the heavy burden of the past? What can bring a shift from a life of mechanical and habitual reactivity to a non-reactive lively presence? Is there a way of living which is beyond fear and sorrow? In what ways can we rediscover our deeper essence and uncover a source of peace, harmony and love within oneself? What is insight? What does it mean to work on oneself so that insights can happen? What is transformation? In this retreat we work with simplicity and gentleness and explore together the profound arts of listening, looking and attention.

RETREAT HIGHLIGHTS
The retreat offers a safe, non-judgmental and compassionate learning space where one’s true essence can unfold and flower. It holds significance for individuals at any stage of their journey of self-discovery and transformation, including lifelong learners, mindfulness practitioners, coaches, therapists, artists, teachers, professionals from diverse fields, leaders, and dedicated students of life, who recognize the importance of living and working from a higher level of presence. The daily program includes meditations, inspiring live discourses, meditative self-inquiry, learning exercises in small groups, silent spaces and meditative walks in nature.

Facilitator:
Mukesh Gupta from Varanasi, India is going to facilitate this retreat. Mukesh has been exploring the fundamental questions of life and the teachings of J. Krishnamurti for more than two and a half decades. He is a traveler at heart and regularly facilitates self-inquiry based retreats, workshops and dialogues world-wide. He has studied Indian and Western Philosophies. He sees that a deep non-authoritarian meditative process of self-inquiry, based on love, listening and looking from a silent state of mind and heart, is essential to establish peace, harmony and compassion in one’s daily existence and society. www.schoolforselfinquiry.org
