President Obama has spoken at the Security Coucil Meeting of the UN and proposed the elimination & eradication of the nuclear weapons. It was Rajaji(C.Rajagopalachari, the former first Indian Governor general of India) who mooted this , many decades ago, to the then President JohnF.Kennedy. We hope it will be possible to do away with dealdly nuclear weapons from this Earth.

President Obama and his wife are in Copenhagen,Denmark, pitching for the vote at IOC(International Olympic Committe) in favour of his city in USA, CHICAGO!
Huge money and time spent here in little Denmark for his safety&security for a few hours.Lot of hullabaloo here in DK....while in Malawi, a million African children without parents(parents perished underHIV) wandering the streets in hopelessness.
Why not host the Olympics there? These children would get jobs....A fraction of the money spent on the Presidential extravaganza would feed millions in Africa...

Jyllands-Posten, a Danish newspaper famous for its cartoons here in Denmark has a cartoon today on President OBAMA. One person asks whether he deserves the Nobel prize as he has not done anything significant to qualify for it, The other person says : " He looks so "NOBLE" that makes him eligible for it." Ways of the world.

President Obama rightfully condemns the bonusses paid to bank CEOs , whose banks were bankrupt and rescued by the US Government. Their greed for bonus is exeedingly vulgar and atrocious. With public tax payers money footing their bills...

Bonus grabbing CEOs of the banks all over the world are without the INTELLIGENCE of the HEART: Intelligence coming from the awareness of ones environs, the global world and its concerns ought to modify ones behaviour. At least President OBAMA has continuously displayed that he is a man with the intelligence of the HEART AND MIND TOGETHER!

Hello
Personally Ive always found politics very dull, its painful the lack of simplicity, directness in concern and real affection and genuine care. The language of the politicians id devoid of these neccessary qualities and lacks finess, eloquence beauty ..And from a very young age one finds it impossible to indulge in any serious intercourse regarding fragmentary discourse such as that of the politicians . Obviously theres only self interest and theyre only concern is that. Radical change cannot come about whilst riding the Tiger....whilst shooting at eachother? K always said ;'only fools advise'? i dont trust this infomation of his advise to Gandi...was he really giving advise . or.he was just pointing something out. Its dangerous to take small quotes and introduce them in a different context? How can you sustain this conversations they become so tedious..What are we asking in this dialogue for example, with respect? Are we interested in ourselves, our own voice, opinion, the sounds we make? Wheres it all going, whats the point? It seems like idle chatter whist THE HOUSE IS ON FIRE?

While OBAMA /president is battling on, his half-brother Obama is helping battered children in the EAST..a different guy ... or at least wants to be identified different from his half-brother...
The world goes on from sufferings to reactions to sufferings and actions born out of those reactions&feelings--- all based on the fundammentals of suffering&misery... How do you put out the eternal fire that rages among human beings?

President Obama bows to the Emperor of Japan! Unheard of other American Presidents doing the same. Paying obesiance as a subject of Japan is Ok but as the President of USA, why Obama does it? Is he trying to fool others by pleasing them or is he having identity problems? Remember Pearl Harbour..... As a JK reader, it is OK with me... but as an ordinary US citizen, how one would react? I wonder...

Now he is in true style this OBAMA guy! Yes if one is a president of the migtiest USA you have no option but to sernd more troops to kill and to be killed... the same sad story all over...
If one is aware that some people want to be in the medieval period with bullock carts or rather donkey-carts, clitoredectomy, burkha for women, four wives for each man, poppy cultivation for opium and jihad and murder against the non-believers ..... and there are nearly 2 billions of them going around the blackstone of MECCA.... the root cause is WAHABISM, fanatical sunni sect of Islam pervading from Saudi arabia to all over the world span ning its claws of terror, one should look at the root cause and eliminate it not send few hundred or thousands to slaughter-fields--- time will teach this new guy OBAMA.......

In american politics of the 60's we had some public figures who attempted to act for the betterment of man kind,Pres.John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Martin L. King,as well as Ghandi in India. Doing things contrary to the vested interest produced some pretty horrible results for these men. The sad truth is public figures come and go, the vested interest remain. So far it seems as if Pres. Obama has the right combination of abilities to make a difference,However if the vested interest do not meet their objectives, they will find a way of turning public opinion against him, which certain factions began already. There are a million other ways i would like my tax dollars spent, than to build more bombs, weapons, ect.

Now in Norway he has received the much coveted Nobel Peace Price for 2009. He delivered a lecture on the necessity of war to keep peace. He sounds like Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita urging Arjuna to kill in the war for DHARMA/JUSTICE! One must agree he is confronting head on the problems of war&peace and at the sametime averting the criticism that he does not deserve the Nobel Prize at all.
Only the passage of Time will have its tales to tell in the future....

President Obama came to Copenhagen for the climate summit which ended in a fiasco in many ways. He said he came to act and not to talk... Venezeula,China,Brazil & Sudan seem to have put a blockade...still he hopes for the best in future at Mexico conference next year.. All is not glory for Obama in this world. Even at home his ratings are going down...

Krish, Don't you see a possibility of a design? By bestowing the nobel, isn't he forced to (end) the war on terrorism ? Though, surely he can do better than others.

No. The scandinavians have a tendency for snobberi. That is they are great pretenders of "do-good-samaritans".In actuality, they in their hearts and souls
are as violent as anyone else. Superificial culuture and superficial civilization.
Basically hypocritical christianity is at the root of it.Washing all their racist-sins on a blackman by bestowing him the Nobel Peace prize. And that so called blackman is in fact a COCONUT-MAN-meaning black or brown outside but inside as racist as anybody white man could be. As violent as you and ME!We have become slaves of mere symbols! That is all

Yes Rick, it is the problem world wide. It is time these public figures took at least one lesson on K. I don't think any public figure other than Late Mrs Indira Gandhi, gave some credence to the teachings of K. Can hundreds of peace prizes help mankind with with one K's mind ?
Until the truth is opened from its package and laid bare, it can't set any one free.

When I met a well known and highly awarded personality recently in a book exhibition, I asked him how he thought of K. He simply answered K was undoubtedly a great man, but then he had come there to see how his own books were going !!!
