Patricia,

I won't write any more here because all that happens on the part of Rick and Dean is mobbing really and that isn't progressive. Now you can see why I didn't really wish to 'discuss' this. Discussion isn't possible with people who are locked or lost in or by a reaction.

Please ask Dean to take up his argument with Paul directly.

Anyone with an ounce of intelligence can see/read that I am not Paul.

Remember, too, that I have been fooled by the actors here - not just y'all. Kinfonetians have been fighting for years as Dhirendra pointed out.

I suppose you feel territorial or something. I don't know.

I have also happily let go of the 'fooling'/delusory elements of K. I haven't thrown out the baby with the bath water. There's truth in what everyone has to say in and about life. I respect that for some K was/is the best guide.

Kinfonet was really a regrettable ordeal for me and as I have said before this forum corrupted the good that I once saw in K's writing.

There is no gain in bullying other people or anything good about illusion and brainwashing.

There is nothing good about ignoring blatant and ongoing bullying either. You have shown yourselves up, haven't you, because as soon as Nick and then Paul were gone you mobbed Randal.

Jack, Dean, Rick and Eve are consciously or unconsciously 'behaving' as a mob.

No more to say about this and I will ignore any further 'provocative' remarks.

Let them talk; talk don't bother me...

Rick and Dean,

Paul isn't writing here anymore and you are confusing me with him.

Don't bother trying to get my attention anymore with silly pictures and insults.

I will say goodbye again. My peace was disturbed by one of your members which, unfortunately, put me back in mind of this forum.

One day I'll remember to forget

I was dragged back in here by one of your playmates, Dean.

I had no idea that people could denigrate and fool others to such an extent.

To what purpose/end I really don't know.

I was told that I fell into a snake pit unawares.

Perhaps Patricia will lock this because all people want to do is be nasty here.

I won't reply to any more of this cult's insults. Kinfonet has no 'ethos'.

What happens here is just symptomatic of online bullying and is not at all in the spirit of inquiry that K envisaged.

Remember your humanity and forget the rest

Rick,

Stop trying to discredit me to people. I know that you are in the habit of bullying people and are angry for being fooled. I am angry for being fooled, too. I could not see the wood for the trees at one point.

You are clearly highly dependent on this forum.

I have seen an example of the sort of things you guys write about the women here and I am no longer interested in keeping your company.

I see that you are having vicious arguments with Jack and Eve, too, at the moment, Dean. Rick seems to be your puppet. To what end? Your behaviour deters people from Kinfonet and distracts people from being able to focus on K's writing.

I am not a 'space Kadet' anymore.:) Katy

G M wrote: Yes Katy, this is all pathetic and sad.

For sure, G M. I didn't realise that Dean is against the recommend button. The set up in facebook displays the name of the persons hitting the 'like' button which is preferred (by me). It lets others acknowledge that they have seen the reply and are in accord without having to write further. Displaying the name, too, lets people be more accountable as such.

However, I think this forum's layout is better.

I don't really write here anymore. This inclusion/intrusion on my part happened because of my being fooled by other members here and lack of care from the site's moderator.

People writing here are not honest people. They accuse me of being Paul even though they know I am not him.

I will leave them to this unhappy dungeon and have said all I had to which was a natural reaction on my part to 'new' information and another's lies/fabrications...

For people who wish to discuss K's teachings and not be bullied, there are a number of groups/forums in Facebook.

See you there ! Katy

There is always a sensitive person writing behind all these posts. To say that it doesn't matter a jot what one writes because everything is just image is questionable.

Some people deliberately play with image/identity here - fool others.

Others 'enjoy' name calling and ganging up against people. (Dean and Rick have become a sort of 'double act'). It was completely below the belt to attack Jack like that. Rick, B Teulada and others' fear/paranoia means that they launch campaigns against others (by way of p m) and simply cannot handle criticism themselves. I think it is always better to try to be open, honest, direct. We are all fragile. Conditioning says, too, that 'attack is the best form of defence'.

It is clear that bullying has been a feature here for rather a long time and it appears that people's identities are all over the place.

Dev doesn't care enough to take his role seriously as moderator. He occasionally interjects and bans people. The more determined members just adopt a different identity. It is obvious that if he doesn't want to be conscientious that he should ask someone else to be in the moderator's role instead. (He is not wrong to state that the forum has become a disgrace. Of course, 'new' people have been deterred from writing here for yonks).

Dean, it is obvious that calling people names such as 'stupid' in a learning environment will deter or silence people. Even if you have lost your patience, sir.

It is also, perhaps, understandable that people (whose intention might be serious) become impatient with others here and resort to calling other people names. I don't know if this forum has ever lent itself to serious inquiry ?

This said, looking at this topic's title, it is no surprise that this thread has brought out the worst in people.

How long shall they kill our prophets while we stand aside and look

It has been suggested that Hope Ropa is yet another made up name of Paul's. Sorry, Paul, if this is not true. I see that you are writing as Arivalagan at the moment.

At the end of the day, what do people writing here actually want ?

Arivalagan S wrote: "I always thought rick would be the last man standing."

He must have his own reasons. I think it's sad, but also, it seems quite a dramatic exit, taking the whole of Simply Krishnamurti with him. Has it happened before? Anyhow, needless to speculate, just to say it all seems part of the ongoing silliness, a lot of people getting upset.

Why the pretence, Paul?

You and he have been 'fighting' for just ages.

Rick probably needed a break from being in the role of moderator which can be a thankless task. Arguing ad infinitum is neither interesting or fun.

Is it true that you are also acting here as Hope Ropa ? If not, where is she?

G Ma's point about taking proper responsibility for the discussions one initiates is a good one.

Now that Rick and B Teulada aren't writing and Jack is away there is no one to openly contest your participation here, is there?

I hope that Rick is okay. I appreciated discussing things with him before all the division and bullying entered in.

It would be good for this forum/site if new people were interested to write. Maybe Dev could do a mail out?

Arivalagan S wrote: Katy said to close the thread if it goes astray. In that case Dev may close the whole forum. But I do not agree with that. You will never know what would have happened next. Maybe there could have been a sudden Insight.

I did not say this. G Ma suggested seeing discussions through and maybe closing the thread if it is derailed. This way people are taking responsibility or 'moderating' things as they go along.

I don't understand why a person starts a discussion and doesn't continue with it...there is nothing serious or 'insightful' about that action.

Are you also writing as Hope Ropa, Paul ? Or is this allegation on the part of a couple of other members untrue ?

anish leh wrote: It's not up to people who start a thread to control/dictate what's posted on it, so what is do you mean "taking proper responsibility"?

Just posting statements and not inquiring/exploring with others further is not being serious. The other point is that it could be argued that it is each member's responsibility to 'moderate'/facilitate discussions here as they go along. People remark continually that the topic is the important part, not all the personal attacks. So why not do what can be done towards this?

You don't seem to appreciate the impact on others of all your image changes/ acting. This is what draws such suspicion to you here. All the world's a stage...

So, you are saying that the allegation is false about you also writing as Hope Ropa...just asking.

I don't know what this thread is supposed to be about so I will withdraw my interest.

Questioner: Why are there so many insane, unbalanced people in the world? Krishnamurti: What is this civilization that we have built up? A civilization which is the result of craving, the dominant factor of sensory gratification. And having produced a world in which sensate value dominates, naturally the creative sensibilities are either destroyed or warped or blocked. Through the value of the senses there is no release and so individuals resort to the fabrication of delusion, consciously or unconsciously, which eventually isolates them. Unless sensate value yields to eternal value we will have delusions and strife, confusion and war. To bring a fundamental change in value you must become thoughtful and discard those values of the self, of craving, through constant awareness and self-knowledge.

Do other people writing here 'agree' with/see this answer from K ? What do you say?

anish leh wrote: Fear seeks ways to avoid looking, to avoid listening, the absence of thought.

Yes, Anish, this seems right/true...everybody's talking and nobody's listening:)

There is also the inheritance, isn't there, of idealisation/intellectualisation which, by definition, counters or obstructs the sort of intelligence and/or creativity that K spoke of?

Seeking 'somethingness' and/or to distinguish oneself (as eg. more intellectual than others) is merely the inheritance of hierarchical values/constructs of thought talking.

This is well illustrated in this forum, too, in seeing the presiding conflict/division being acted out by the (divisive) property of thought - as you said, talk, talk, talk or me, me, meeee !:)

...Perhaps it is clearer to see/say that "craving" is more to do with desire (in this context) than need? Otherwise, it loses its meaning, since it would be bizarre to assert that being guided by one's needs causes delusions and so on, wouldn't it ?

sen·sate (snst) also sen·sat·ed (-std) adj. 1. Perceived by a sense or the senses. 2. Having physical sensation.

Forum: General Discussion Mon, 08 Jul 2013
Topic: From Today's Quote of the Day...

Paul/Arivalagan,

In the following excerpt K 'clarifies' what is meant by 'eternal' and/or 'sensate' value...

If you are able to set aside the passion and worldliness on which present culture is built, then you will discover and experience eternal value which is never within any framework; then you might be able to help others free themselves from bondage. We desire, unfortunately, to combine the eternal with a whole series of values which lead to antagonism, conflict, and misery. If you would seek truth you must abandon those values that are based on sensation and gratification, on passion and ill will, possessiveness and greed. You need not let your lives be guided by economists, by politicians and priests with their endless plans for peace; they have led you to death and destruction. You have made them your leaders, but now, with deep awareness, you must become responsible for yourself, for within you is the cause and the solution of all conflict and sorrow. You created it and you alone can free yourself, not another can save you. Krishnamurti

Topic: Love, Trust, Integrity...

I have inherited the notion (or belief) that love and trust are intertwined ie. that there can not be love without trust and vice versa...

This forum asks that people divulge their real names from the outset and so on because (I think) it is in keeping with this premise/expectation.

This said, I can see why people have worn 'masks' yet are not necessarily 'trolls' even though they have been accused of being so...

Not mentioning any names some writers have exploited the genuine communications of others by adopting several identities to push their points and to be centre stage here. This has undermined the trust of others and moreover diluted the level (depth?) of participation.

The deceptions on others' parts threw me for one all over the place ! (Apologies for my reactivity). My naivete had led me to believe that Kinfonet was/is a place for genuine dialogue/discussion. It remains such -potentially - but only up to a point. Some would say that it is better to talk in more abstract terms and leave the self or the me out of it. There is confusion presented here (for me anyway) when seeking to look together at or into 'what is'.

What is Kinfonet right now for the people writing here ? Are you writing/speaking freely in a trusting atmosphere ? Do you feel that your integrity is or has been compromised by others' contributions ? I see how integrity is (also) linked to freedom ie. to the freedom to speak one's mind such as K did.

What is meant by this word 'integrity' ? Is it just another vain notion of self ? It seems to me that integrity is also linked to trust.

I will close this here...reading you all with interest...Regards, Katy
