Topic: Is vegetarianism a must for saving the world and ourselves?

Dear Patricia, your sensitivity is taking over here and I agree and appreciate it very much- it is a sort of cannibalism this organ transplant business. It all started with the South African Dr.Bernard and his monkey tricks. As one who studied Health Economics here in DK, I can tell you the transplanted personsQUALYS(i.e.Qulaity of life over the years) are very limited. It is an excellence on the part of medical/surgical personnel. This is the trend of"ACHIEVEMENT"/"BECOMING"in JK terminology. It is not only in transplants.Take the poor Indian Government spending on MOON missions,Chinese spending on moon activity, when their common populations starve and have no hygienic toilets, bathrooms, running water supply... I can go on . The general picture is one of aggression,Insensitivity, callousness and the elite few have hijacked the masses in many ways other than democratic.Every country has a collective image and each other compete and imitate that goes on even in scientific elite groups. In general, Common sense is lost sensitivity is not to be traced in all their activities. We need true brave Brahmins of the old times. JK told in Greece this story: There was a Brahmin adviser to the Indian King who fought against the mighty Alexander the Great in Punjab. When the Indian king was defeated, Alexander though victorious ,was impressed by the organization of his enemy and asked the vanquished King how he managed such huge organization that he found it difficult to fight and confront. The king replied that he had an adviser, a Brahmin. Then Alexander wanted to employ him. When he approached, the Brahmin refused because he has just resigned his post with the King and he was committed to teach two young children in his village. However much the King & Alexander persuaded, he would not flinch and give up his commitment to teach the village children.Such sensitive and brave persons are rare to find in todays modern world. Anything can be cooked up bymoney&prestige&other means. cronies can be bought speech writers can be employed to delude the masses through multimedia. We are living in a chaotic insensitive world today.

Canadian researchers in Vancouver Fisheries research Institute have developed salmon fish at their hatchery which would mature within one year instead of two years by genetic transplants. These genetically modified transgene fish are not yet let into the deep oceans.... there are fears of consequences as they would consume other small fish in huge quantities and at a faster rate to become fat&mature, again ready for consumotion by man. So there are endless efforts to satisfy the ever increasing appetite of the flesh-eaters of the world!

Dear Bob, you have clearly hit the point. That is the idea that man has been sanctioned" dominion" over the animal kingdom is the root of all evil ( committed against the animals.) It originates from the christianity that "so-called-Saint" Pauls`s interpretation and propagation of the original BIBLE! Nowadays the terrorist-muslims, kill people, saying it is sanctioned by their bible Quran ,to kill the infidels(non-believers) So, in between these two major religions, who kill by the name of their holy books, where can mankind go...?Animals? No way of saving them... The barbarians are marching....

Topic: What is not based on truth and love will wither away....

In life, whether it is personal relationships, or organized activities of humanbeings such as religion, governments, political parties, interest-organizations, commercial firms, whatever, where, man interacts with one another, there is an immense need for harmony and truth and love. If truth and love are missing, harmony actually does not exist and hence the result of such interactivity would become failure and wither away. This appears to me the law of NATURE. You are welcome to give your points of view here.

DearPolixene dristas, I share your feelings and most Danes do the same. But those who are in power in USA or here in DK, they have hijacked the people by means of Mobocracy (that is how modern democracy functions)and multimedia. There is no sanity left, how many vietnams,Afghanistan and other countries are engaged in endless meningless wars, this ,madness would continue forever. The Talibans are not Muslim angels either. Day in and day out these Muslim terrorists are plaguing India like a pest. The insiduous war goes on amidst misery and poverty bec ause of them. So I am not here to judge. War is inevitable as long as human beings do not resolve their inner conflicts. Instead of the defence industry, I would like to build toilets, bathroom, schools, hospitals, mobile clinics, agricultural research stations all over the world- so everyone in Africa or other less privileged parts, share the same facilities like your grandson. But the money flows to space explorations and defence in all the elite countries. The poor nations haver no say at all.We pretend to be democratic. On the one hand, poor muslim Afghhanisthan is attacked, and rich feudal, anachronistic Saudi Arabia is treated like warm friend and ally. The root cause lies in Saudi Arabia, but the Americans are searching (as if they are blind) ,their enemies in Iraq&Afghanistan. Most of their friends are undemocratic despots and demagogues! In that context how can one expect peacetimes for your grandson?

Fragment can be defined as " part broken off, detached piece, isolated or incomplete part, remainder of lost or destroyed whole". In terms of the society one lives in , one is a fragment. But what goes on constantly is obviously endless fragmentation!- a quote from JK:"we live within a very small fragment of the vast field of the mind.... unless we bring about a radical change in this fragmentation there can be no revolution at all.Culture and society have hypnotized us.When you say I am an Hindu, etc, you are being mesmerised, hypnotized.Technology is doing exactly the same thing. You can be a clever lawyer, a first class Engineer, or an artist, or a great scientist, but always within a fragment of the whole"KRISHNAMURTI,J. Yes we are talking here about it at least, but the majority are not bothered. Times are ripe for another cycle of anti-war-marches all over the world by ordinary citizens like you and me. The world cannot afford this madness.Prices of food and simple services like the postal are going to cost more not to talk about medicines, sugery, air-travel. All these war games and other games our mobocrats impose upon us in the name of democracy, we have to pay through the nose. In India, the poor cannot afford a cup of coffee or tea because the price of milk, coffee, tea& sugar have shot up in the past few years such that the hardworking common man cannot afford these things. The bill is sent to us the common man for all the evil the ruling elite do....

Dear Pollixenie Dristas, I agree, I am not here to compel anyone to become vegetarian.I accept them as they are, people. But in the larger context of animals suffering and perishing at automated factories(grown&killed) and pollution on Earth spreading, incurable diseases breaking out(chiken-Guniya, Swineflu etc),Water and land resources destroyed, corn that can be consumed by humans(who are poor&starving)are fed to these factory-reared animals.... endless mismanagement and gross insensitivity-- that goes on needs to be pointed out. That is all.

Dear Peter Stephens, What withers away is the relationship in personal life. You can take the example of relationship of a daughter/son to parents or vice versa or between couples or between siblings. The same goes to apply for the COLLECVTIVE in the the name of any organized activity by humanbeings. The structures crumble- take communism, capitalism, religions Buddhism, Jainism, Hinduism, Islam, Christianity etc. Take the political movements- the same--- that is what I mean here with this topic. Nature has slow but steady way of establishing Truth&Love&Harmony. This is my view from my limited experience on this Earth.

Dear Peter Stephens, As I mentioned earlier the human interactions based on relationships wither away-their structural entities or organizations crumble and wither away. The individual human brain is ,as you know ,organically bound towards decay and death-that is obvious. This little humanbrain is just a fine instrument that tunes up with many things known to man as well as unknown to man.Man does not pay attention to safeguard it from toxicity, injuries and overload and misuse. My emphasis here is how only truth and love can sustain the harmony in relationships amongst humanbeings. You can just reflect on your own family members inter-relationships...... to find some concrete input... that is what I found through my "JOINT-FAMILY"(the Indian way of family)

Yes Paul! I appreciate what you have rightly pointed out defining Love as such- I may add here incidentally how I came upon this topic. I have been thinking one day recently on my relationships within my family, society and in general the world in which I am born, I am living etc. That night, in the dream, I was repeating these words that makes the topic.Next morning I remembered clearly these words and noted them down. They seemed appropriate to my personal life and then I thought I will share with others these words,As JK says:"Truth has no opposite nor has love. The "true" is not the opposite of the false, love is not the opposite of hate." I prefer staying "Quiet".( even though I posted this topic).

Love permeates all over Nature. As Paul Lanzon pointed above it is the unifying nature or Dharma as he put it.Whether you are able to tune to love that is(available)is your personal nature.
