Life is total insecurity and vulnerability, but we want it secure and protected, that's why all the conflict and our dying imagining that we have loved when we have not

That is, thought wants it. Thought demands security. Why?

To answer my own question, I would say as is the case with psychological movements, a real, physcical movement, the needs for food and shelter, safety, has been carried over into the psychological, and there is has assumed enormous proportions. There the movement for security brings chaos - all the conflict as you say, Juan, and this degeneration and collapse.
