About This Event

I Want to be Free of Conditioning…

Am I aware that I am conditioned? Do I wish to be free of conditioning yet remain bound to it nevertheless? What grip does conditioning have on our lives? What would we lose if we let go of all conditioning?
In this online study workshop together, we shall be carefully looking at what conditioning actually is and how it reveals itself in our shared everyday experience. What is going on in our daily lives that is tethering us to boredom, insufficiency, conflict, fear and sorrow? Does my conditioning affect my whole life, as well as the way the world is, and will be in the future?

Am I somewhat aware of my own conditioning or are some aspects concealed from me? Can I control or organise how conditioned I am? Can I chose whether or not to be conditioned? Do I see or feel myself as separate from my conditioning? Is there a part of me that is not conditioned?

Does this impression of division form the foundation of how we think, perceive and exist? What is this division and can we see it actively operating in ourselves? Is this division a sense of “me”? Is division one the contents of conditioning or does it operate the very movement of it?

If conditioning continues to be who and what we actually are and what we manifest around us – is it fundamentally possible to be free of it?
We will meet each day for a 2 1/2-hour session that will include but not be limited to discussion/dialogue, some short video clips and short excerpts from texts.
Daily online sessions:  10:00am-12:30pm PACIFIC TIME

Facilitator
Jackie McInley founded and ran an independent Krishnamurti centre called Open Door in Southern France from 2004 until 2013 – hosting monthly inquiry weekends and annual international gatherings in French and English. She organized an experimental David Bohm bi-monthly dialogue meeting for 4 years in a local market town, and later a Krishnamurti dialogue group in the city of Toulouse.

A former self-employed, foreign language and theatre teacher by profession (schools, higher education and business), she now organises and facilitates inquiry events, gatherings and retreats in a variety of countries and cultures around the world. She also visits, facilitates dialogues and gives talks in the Krishnamurti Foundations, centres & schools in USA, UK and India.
Jackie does not follow any particular spiritual teaching but is deeply interested in the investigative talks & dialogues of J.Krishnamurti as a mirror and friend to her own constant inner inquiry.
